Recently a customer inquired as to why the Torqo required a customized chuck and petaloid for each bottle configuration that they had intended to use with the product. Because of the high accuracy of the Torqo II unit, it is extremely important to customize the fit to achieve and maintain repeatable and accurate results.

Chucks are custom designed for each cap. The importance of designing a chuck that fits exactly for the particular cap is to ensure no slippage during testing as well as to prevent the cap from deforming thus altering test results. Custom made chucks will ensure that the torque results are not being compromised for each product being tested.

Petaloids like cap chucks are all custom made to fit a product’s bottle base precisely. The customization is necessary since many bottle bases vary in dimension and design. A precisely designed petaloid will ensure that the bottle base does not move during testing thus allowing for the most accurate and repeatable testing results.
