The multi-speed motor is a standard feature on all 100 & 200 IN-LB Model 1600 Torqo systems and is available as an add on option for all other IN-LB models offered by Mesa Labs. The multi-speed option is useful for customers testing the application of closures in addition to performing common industry torque tests which need to be evaluated at a higher rate of speed. The multi-speed option can also be utilized by customers to complete capping of products to ensure seal integrity and that the product packaging does not leak.

The multi-speed option is utilized by R&D laboratories in addition to being utilized on the factory floor for normal quality checks. The multi-speed option is controlled by a variable speed motor which allows for the RPM drive speed of the Torqo to be increased above the standard of 1 RPM. Furthermore, customers testing ROPP style closures may utilize the multi-speed function to check closures at a faster rate in order to obtain a peak removal value, bridge break value and finally complete stripping of the closure at a higher rate of speed.

The Torqo system can be programmed to increase and decrease rotational speed at different intervals during the testing process based on the customer’s product testing specifications.
