1. USP recommends using three specimens of the relevant biological indicator for determining a total viable spore count.
2. Perform population count on three separate biological indicators and average counts.
3. Raven has validated that using 10 specimens of the relevant biological indicator gives equivalent results as the USP recommended three specimens.
