Mesa Labs offers Steam and EO D-value or Survival/Kill testing in state-of-the-art BIER Vessels. D-value procedures used follow USP/ISO and can be obtained via Spearman Karber (fraction negative) method, Survivor Curve (direct enumeration) or with Stumbo-Murphy-Cochran. Mesa Labs can inoculate and perform D-value analysis on small items (e.g. coupons or stoppers) or we can verify a competitor’s claim for D-value, z-value, and population. We’re Not Just Setting Standards. We’re Exceeding Them.
Reports of Calibration are frequently required for quality control and regulatory compliance programs to verify your instrument’s calibration. Since 1983, Mesa Laboratories has made every effort to provide equipment and software that exceeds our customers’ needs both now and into the future. As part of this program, all DataTrace Loggers are supplied with a FREE multi-point NIST traceable Report of Calibration. These reports are generated for each Logger’s measurement parameters before they are shipped to our customers and as part of any service undertaken at the factory.
DataTrace measurement accuracy is assured through Mesa Labs’ comprehensive Quality Assurance Program utilizing highly accurate and precisely maintained NIST traceable reference standards. Mesa Laboratories utilizes the FDA Quality System Regulation and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 as the guidance for its metrology standards and application of its quality program. Our calibration lab carries ISO 17025 accreditation assuring you of worldwide recognition of your instrument’s calibration.
To expedite servicing of DataTrace equipment, either fill out the on-line Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) Form or call us at 800-525-1215 (outside the U.S., please call your local distributor). You will need the serial number of each tracer being sent to Mesa for service. A PURCHASE ORDER IS REQUIRED BEFORE SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED SO EITHER INCLUDE THE PO NUMBER ON THE RGA FORM OR HAVE IT AVAILABLE WHEN YOU CALL IN. Calibration Services
When it comes time for your DataTrace Logger to be certified or repaired, Mesa Labs offers two options to fit your needs. All services include battery replacement and a NIST traceable calibration report. Select the service that fits your needs from the following:
- Refurb Including NIST Traceable Calibration (This Service option includes all repairs necessary, plus recalibration, verification, and all documentation at multiple selected standard points for each parameter. Refurb does not cover repairs due to misuse or abuse.)
- As Received and Refurb Including NIST Traceable Calibration (This Service option includes all repairs necessary, recalibration, verification, and all documentation at multiple selected standard points for each parameter for both as-received and as-left data. Refurb does not cover repairs due to misuse or abuse.)
Calibration Warranty
Mesa Laboratories, Inc. provides a warranty on our NIST traceable calibration services, in addition to our 12 month hardware warranty on new products. To avoid confusion please review the Calibration Warranty for DataTrace Loggers.

DialyGuard™ Factory Certified Service
Mesa Laboratories, Inc. provides factory certified service, repairs and re-certification to original product specification at our factory in Lakewood Colorado. All of our Medical product lines are manufactured and maintained under ISO 13485 certified procedures so you can be assured that our high quality and technical standards are in place. We only service and repair our meters and do not repair other manufacture’s devices as a number of others do. Mesa Laboratories, Inc. is the only factory certified service center for our products. The recommended calibration/service interval for the 90XL, 90DX and NEO-2 meters is 12-months, or sooner if a malfunction is detected.
When sending in meters for repair or recertification please make use of the following guidelines.
1) Print the Service Order Form and fill it out completely. This form should accompany the meter being sent to Mesa Labs.
2) Ship the meter to Mesa Labs in Lakewood Colorado (pre-paid) using a freight company with a tracking system. This is useful for tracing your items if they should happen to be lost by the shipping company.
3) Please include as much information on the Service Order Form about your items as possible such as, a point of contact, call with an estimate for approval before repair, ship back overnight, or any type of technical issues you are having with the instrument. This will minimize concerns of our meeting your expectations and returning your product in a timely fashion.

Torqo Service
On-Site and Factory Certified Service
On-Site Professional Services
Our staff of certified technicians is available to provide your facility with on-site operational training of the Torqo system (Model 1590 & 1600) in addition to calibration services. Ensuring operators are knowledgeable and confident when using the Torqo system guarantees your quality team repeatable and accurate results are being produced by the Torqo during testing. Providing training and installation services will also allow for the plant to ask any technical questions while a Mesa representative is on-site. Our team can also provide on-site calibration service for your Torqo system (Model 1502, 1590 & 1600). The calibration is NIST-traceable and Mesa can provide the required calibration equipment to successfully complete and verify the calibration of the unit. After the calibration is completed, our quality department will produce a valid calibration document for your plant to retain for an audit trail.
In order to receive a quotation for an on-site calibration or for a representative to provide installation and training services, please contact Mesa Laboratories at torqo@mesalabs.com. Please have the model (i.e. 1600-30 IN-LB) along with the serial number (i.e. 00-1111) from the backside of your Torqo system ready.
Mesa Laboratories Factory Service
Mesa Laboratories’ factory certified technicians are here to work with our customer’s in order to provide superior calibration and factory repairs for all Model 1502, 1590 and 1600 Torqo systems. Our certified facility provides customers with the piece of mind that all repairs and calibrations being completed are in compliance with industry standards. Mesa’s technicians perform a NIST-traceable calibration on all Torqo systems that are sent in for service at our facility in Colorado. Mesa recommends the Torqo system be calibrated annually or bi-annually whether it is at our factory or on-site at your production facility. In addition to providing our factory calibration services, each Torqo system is thoroughly inspected for parts that need to be replaced and/or repaired. Our dedicated team will then prepare a service quotation for your facilities review and approval which will encompass the work that was completed on your Torqo system.
Mesa’s Gold Bottle products which are utilized for verification of the Torqo’s calibration require an annual calibration which needs to be completed at the factory in Colorado. Our certified technicians will calibrate your facility’s Gold Bottle utilizing our “Gold Standard” Torqo systems to help ensure precise accuracy of your Gold Bottle. We recommend for your Gold Bottle to be calibrated on the specific model of Torqo that it is being used with to ensure proper accuracy and tolerances are being met. Furthermore, if the closure fixed to the neck of the Gold Bottle begins to wear over time, Mesa can replace the old neck with a new one to ensure there is no error during testing. We request customers submit five closure samples with the Gold Bottle being serviced in order for the Gold Bottle neck to be replaced properly.

Bios primary gas flow standards are precision measuring tools designed to provide highly-accurate flow measurements each time they’re used, in any number of applications. Whether you’re protecting the lives of workers, monitoring our ever-changing environment, or verifying the process control producing new and better technologies, our primary flow standards are a critical link in the chain. As such, they require a certain degree of care and maintenance.
Bios believes it’s important to verify that your primary standard hasn’t been compromised by inadvertent damage, environmental factors, or time and use – and that a NIST-traceable, secure audit trail should always support your hard work.
For these reasons, we recommend annual service and recertification of your Bios primary gas flow standard as a periodic quality assurance measure, as well as to provide you and your organization with a defensible audit trail of premier quality. Your Bios product is the benchmark, and as such it should receive the expert service and quality calibration that befits a precision measuring tool.

Nusonics Service
Factory Certified Service: Nusonics
Mesa Laboratories, Inc. provides factory certified service, repairs and calibration for the Nusonics product line at our factory in Lakewood Colorado. We only service and repair our meters and do not repair or calibrate other manufacturer’s devices. We do provide service for some older Nusonics meters which may have been sold under the brand names Mapco or Nuscor.
Before sending in your Nusonics analyzer, flowmeter or interface detector, please contact the Nusonics Service Dept. at (303) 987-8000 and have the serial number of the instrument available.
In many cases problems can be corrected in the field via instrument adjustment or parts replacement. If it is determined the meter must be returned for service, service personnel will advise which items are to be returned and a RMA # will be issued

Service Pricing
Nusonics service personnel can only determine service costs after receipt and inspection of the meter. Please advise them if you require notification or a written quotation prior to proceeding with the repairs. In all cases a PO (purchase order) or credit card # will be required before the return of the repaired instrument. If service is not available for your instrument, in most cases Nusonics has a replacement instrument which will not require any piping changes. Contact Nusonics Sales with the serial number of the instrument to be replaced for review and pricing information.
